Dr. Chris Baucom, our Senior Pastor, has served at Benton's Cross Roads since September of 2010. Along with a passion to preach, Pastor Chris enjoys singing with his family and playing musical instruments like the piano, guitar, and banjo. He currently serves as the Moderator for the Union Baptist Association, serves on the Board of Directors for the Union County Council on Aging, and is on call for funeral homes in the area that need a pastor when a family needs one to minister to them. He has been married to the love of his life, Deanna, for 26 years. Together they have three children and a daughter-in-law they dearly love. They have two grandchildren…with another one on the way! Pastor Chris loves Ephesians 2:8-10 “For by Grace are you saved, through Faith, and that not of yourselves! It is a gift from God! Not of works, lest any man should boast! For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works!” Pastor Chris is also well known for saying “Bless your heart!”
